Design/Build (cont.)
Programming your new building involves meetings with you, your building committee and GL Barron design architects to gather detailed information about what you want in your building. Issues such as usage, siting, future expansion, styles are all a part of these discussions and lay the foundation for the eventual appearance and functionality of your building.
The second step is the preparation of the building's schematic design for your review. GL Barron architects will create renderings and rough floorplans and elevations to show you and your team how the building will look and layout. While not finished plans, these concepts give you a good look and feel for the proposed construction. They are also the basis for the development of accurate initial estimates.
Once approved, the Schematic Design work gives our engineers the elemental data from which to begin assembly of the Preliminary Budget estimate. Working with selected sub contractors and systems engineers, Barron's professional estimators will review the drawings and prepare initial budgetary figures to show you what your vision will cost to complete. All before the beginning of the detailed construction plans and specifications and for a fraction of the initial cost.
This 3-Step Design/Build Process insures that you have complete input into how your new building will look and function and give you up-front budgeting information at minimal cost. |
